You are bidding on a set of roller rocker arms for aTriumph Spitfire. These fit all year Spitfires and also MG Midget 1500. Rocker arms feature oilite bronze bushings for minimal rocker shaft wear. They are a 1.55 ratio. Rocker arm design provides oiling for both the roller tip and pushrod cup. This greatly reduces wear in these areasSome advertisers will sell roller rocker arms as an alternative to a performance cam. This is not the reason for roller rockers. Roller rocker arms reduce valve guide and valve stem wear.  Since the roller tip rolls over the valve stem rather than dragging over the stem, side load on the valve guide and  stem is greatly reduced.  As a bonus, there is a small but measurable power increase.  Beware of extremely high ratio rocker arms. They are very hard on cam and lifters. You are bidding on a set of rocker arms. Rocker shaft and or spacers not included.  It is strongly recomended that a hardened rocker shaft be used with this conversion.

2013 Australian Motor Show axed

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

This year’s Australian Motor Show in Melbourne has been cancelled by its organizers three months before its planned opening. Falling attendance figures played a big part in taking the decision, as did what is seen as a lack of manufacturer support. The Australian International Motor Show Joint Venture's event director Russ Tyrie said the decision was taken "based on a consensus view of the automotive industry to focus limited marketing budgets in 2013 on firm-specific activities, rather than an industry-based motor show." The Volkswagen Group's decision not to attend may well have acted as the final nail in the coffin along with Hyundai's hesitancy despite initial support.
