I am having new differential stub axles made. After having 4 stub axles break in 4 different cars over the last 2 weekend of racing ending their races early I have used what good shafts I had left. I am making the early style that is a small shaft with a small bolt pattern early Spitfire. Also making the late stub axle with the large shaft and large pattern late Spitfire. They will be made out of a billet chromoly heat treated and ready to install. Production should be finished by the first week of September. Interest was fuelled by a number of vehicles making their used market debuts, including the Mini Cooper D Countryman, new 520d, 525d and 530d 5 Series models and the X5 X-Drive 4.0d M Sport.

We also reported in May that Mercedes was considering delaying the launch of the E Class Estate and E Class Cabriolet for a year or so until the economy recovered. But it’s now clear that the next instalment of the E Class story – the Mercedes E Class Estate – will launch at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and the first picture has leaked our way!
