For your consideration is an OEM Triumph back rest.  
This came from a 1998 Triumph Thunderbird Sport, could fit other models, but not sure.
The seat pad is in excellent condition, chrome is very nice, there is slight pitting on the luggage rack support (see pic)
Other than that this is a real nice functional piece.

Volkswagen says Italdesign purchase will boost its growth strategy

Volkswagen AG will acquire a 90 percent stake in Italdesign Giugiaro S.p.A., VW said Tuesday. The Giugiaro family will retain 10 percent in the 42-year-old automotive styling company that is famous for designing cars such as the first-generation Volkswagen Golf. VW CEO Martin Winterkorn said Italdesign will make an important contribution to the automaker's 2018 global growth strategy.

Land Rover Defender reprieved until 2017 - and maybe beyond It’s the news that all die-hard Land Rover Defender fans – and there are still plenty of them – wanted to hear; the current Defender has won a reprieve until at least 2017. It had originally been thought that the iconic (that word again, but it’s justified in the Defender’s case) Landie would be forced in to the annuls of motoring history by Euro emissions rules. But thanks to plans to endow the current Defender with a version of JLR’s 2.2 litre diesel, it now means that the Defender as we know it can keep on trucking until at least 2017 with its new, Euro5 compliant engine.

VW Polo Blue GT Volkswagen has revealed the VW Polo Blue GT, a performance Polo with a 1.4 TFSI engine but with eco credentials. The VW Polo Blue T seems to be an oxymoron; can you have an eco performance car? VW certainly thinks so and has revealed the Polo Blue GT with BlueTechnology and a decent turn of speed.
