BMW 4-series coupe (2013) first official pictures

These are the first official pictures of the new BMW 4-series coupe. The replacement for the existing 3-series coupe, it mixes the shape of the Concept 4-series with toned-down details from the regular F30-gen 3-series saloon. The rear-drive, 2+2-seater coupe will go on UK sale in October 2013, after its in the metal debut at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show this September.

It’s been a busy week for Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezmolo. First he announced his resignation (effective from October) from the Italian sports car firm after 23 years at the helm. At Geneva earlier this month, Maserati debuted the Alfieri concept, a love letter to Maserati's first 100 years and a preview of the next few years, if not the next 100. Here, design chief Lorenzo Ramaciotti shows how the Alfieri -- named after one of the five Maserati brothers -- was inspired by the 1954 Maserati A6GCS/53, as previously threatened, especially in the proportions.
