These original seat covers were pulled from a 1973 TR6 that had 23K original miles on it. The car was garaged the entire time. I did a frame off restoration on this car two years ago and installed a complete new interior kit including new seat foam and covers.
These covers are still in very good shape and would be an upgrade if you are looking for a set of "driver" quality seats. The only blemish can be seen in the last photo where one of the upper sides has a puncture. I took the liberty of turning the cover inside out and heat glued a piece of vinyl to the back of the punctured area to keep it from spreading. The winning bidder will receive all six pieces shown in the first photo. The reference color for these seat covers is called NEW TAN. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. White House pushes for Friday deal on fuel-economy regulations
Wed, 27 Jul 2011The White House wants to announce as early as Friday that it has reached agreement with most automakers on a plan to raise corporate average fuel economy targets to 54.5 mpg by 2025, manufacturers' representatives said Wednesday. While no automakers have signed on to the Obama administration plan yet, most--including Ford, Toyota, General Motors and Chrysler--are generally supportive and intend to do so, the industry officials said. Each manufacturer is trying to iron out technical issues with the White House before endorsing the proposal.
L'argus European Design Competition 2004 winners announced
Wed, 07 Jan 2004With its 3rd design competition, French automotive magazine L'argus de l'automobile challenged design students in the European Union to express their creativity on the theme 'Imagine the convertible commercial vehicle'. With a total of 350 designs submitted, the competition was a resounding success, confirming the interest design schools and their students are taking in this forward-looking competition. Starting out from a light commercial vehicle, the candidates had to propose changes adapted to the specific needs of their user: their basic vehicle could for example be transformed into a helicopter for delivery services, into a work platform for engineers, into a workshop for joiners.
The Extreme Mini Adventure Money Can’t Buy
Wed, 30 Apr 2014IT’S NOT every day as an apprentice you get to build a new concept car for your employer. However that’s exactly what a lucky few trainees did when BMW tasked them to make their design study a reality. Choosing the firm’s Mini Paceman as the donor car, the talented apprentices transformed the vehicle into a rugged two-door pick-up – a long way from the original motor’s sleek coupe origins.
