Condition:Used

For sale is a very nice right / passenger side door latch assembly removed from a 1981 TR7 and stored in my garage attic for over 10 years. It will fit any year TR7 or TR8. This is a very rare item that is NLA new.

On DHC (convertible) models the body begins to flex excessively as the miles pile up. If you drive in an area with many "bumps" such as over railroad tracks, speed bumps, pot holes, or other mildly rough terrain the body flex problem happens sooner. It is very common for this latch to be broken due to this issue. You will first notice when the door pops open just a bit during driving or when you jack the car up from one corner of the car. I had a high mileage TR7-V8 years ago that both doors would pop open when I went over a rail crossing or accelerated hard from a dead stop. You can stop the flex but it requires careful welding along some of the body seams.

I have other body parts and mechanical parts. Need something else, just ask. The other photos are examples of other items I have.

I also sell locally via the common online free list which I cannot mention the name of here, but it starts with craig. I also sell on various enthusiast web forums. If it sells locally or via the forums, I will cancel this sale.

All of my items ship via USPS or FEDEX. Shipping time is typically 4 days or less.

I will be unavailable to ship items between June 29, 2016 through July 19, 2016. If you purchase during that time period it will not ship until June 20th.

Mercedes GLA SUV UK launch down a salt mine in Cheshire

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

The new Mercedes GLA down a salt mine in Cheshire Trying to find an unusual venue for new car launches is something that taxes the brains of car PR teams, and Mercedes came up with somewhere a little left field for the launch of the new GLA Compact SUV – the UK’s biggest salt mine at Winsford in Cheshire. The Winsford Rock Salt Mines – 130 miles of salt mining tunnels running under Cheshire – are the result of salt mining since the 19th century and now comprise of 130 miles of tunnels some 189 metres below ground, a void beneath the earth of 23 million cubic metres. Still a working salt mine, Winsford is also home to a massive storage facility for, among others, the National Archive, where constant temperatures of 14C make for an ideal storage environment.

Moynat’s custom ‘Trunk’ for the Jaguar F-Type Roadster Luxury car makers manage to extract big sums of money from owners who want custom accessories for their vars, and Jaguar is no different. But this particular piece of custom luggage for the Jaguar F-Type has been made as a one-off by French luxury luggage makers Moynat to celebrate opening their first store outside London. The F-Type ‘Trunk’ (and it will only fit the F-Type Roadster) was created in collaboration with Jaguar and is inspired by Moynat’s famous ‘Limousine’ trunk.

New compact Lexus SUV based on Toyota RAV4 on the way

Sat, 06 Apr 2013

Lexus are planning a compact SUV to slot in below the RX, and based on the Toyota RAV4, to compete in the compact SUV market. Which explains why Lexus are looking for a model to slot in below the hybrid RX (pictured above) – a full size SUV/Crossover – to keep them competitive. And what easier way to go than to take the new Toyota RAV4 and turn it in to a Lexus?
