New BMW voice control system
Mon, 08 Jun 2009BMW are fitting a new voice control system to their cars from September Hopefully this will work. My own experience of voice control systems is not great – I usually end up doing it manually through the interface. But with BMW’s pretty complicated iDrive system it will be a big plus, and safer, to speak your commands.
Saab 9-5: New model leaked
Thu, 23 Jul 2009Saab's flagship sedan, the 9-5, is finally getting a dramatic re-do, and pictures are out on the Web in advance of its expected reveal at the Frankfurt motor show. It's a handsome effort, with an upright windshield, prominent grille and sleek headlight casings. Look for all-wheel drive and a range of engine selections.
Who's Where: Lorenzo Ramaciotti appointed Chief of Design for Fiat Group
Mon, 28 May 2007Starting June 1, 2007 Lorenzo Ramaciotti will become the new Group Chief of Design at Fiat Group Automobiles. Ramaciotti was snatched up by Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne and convinced to head the company's design direction, filling a newly created position that hasn't previously existed at Fiat. Lorenzo Ramaciotti, who retired from Pininfarina in June 2005 after working for the famed coachbuilder for 32 years, will be responsible for all the Fiat Group brands, including Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Maserati.
