Bentley EXP 9 F SUV at 2012 Geneva motor show
Mon, 05 Mar 2012This, believe it or not, is Bentley’s new SUV. Currently a concept, the Bentley EXP 9 F has been unveiled tonight on the eve of the 2012 Geneva motor show at the VW Group’s pre-show party. But the Bentley EXP 9 F shouldn’t remain a concept for long: it’s going into customer clinics across the world just as soon as the Geneva motor show is finished, and Bentley chairman and chief executive Dr Wolfgang Dürheimer has told CAR he plans to build this car (or rather, this Range Rover-sized 4x4).
Renault Alpine A110-50 to be developed with Caterham
Tue, 02 Oct 2012It seems the impressive Renault Alpine A110-50 is heading for production with Caterham, not Lotus, as development partner. Which is part of the reason Renault want a partner on-board to help with development and production of the Renault Alpine A110-50 – a new Alpine based on a Megane platform with a DeZir body – and turn it, hopefully, from a track concept to the first Alpine for the road in twenty years. It had been mooted that Renault were eyeing up Lotus to partner on the Alpine A110-50, but according to a report from Autocar they are instead working with Caterham to bring the A110-50 to life.
Last summer of speed?
Wed, 08 May 2013If you want to enjoy driving on the unlimited-speed German autobahn, you might want to get in gear. If the opposition Social Democratic Party wins in this September's elections, party leader Sigmar Gabriel promises to form a coalition with the Green Party -- and both say they'll limit autobahn speeds to 120 kmh (about 75 mph), the German publication Bild is reporting. Not so fast, says the SDP's actual candidate for German chancellor, Peer Steinbrueck, who said he saw “no reason” to reignite the long-running debate over autobahn speeds, Bild reported.
