The Truxedo Lo Pro is the cover we use at Cap City USA when our customers want the very best.  Starting from the ease of installation (we install them in 7 minutes start to finish) and ending with a cover that stays perfectly tight.  The half inch profile that allows you to keep the original look of your truck is understated and classic at the same time.  The fit and finish is simply excellent.  What makes it Cap City USA's favorite is when the customer asks why we like it so much and I get to tell them it's because I'll never have to see them again .... at least about their tonneau cover.  The warranty is as good as it gets.  Lifetime to the original purchaser.  Being in the accessory and topper business for 26 years that kind of service means as much to us as it does to the customer. If you have read this far, it is your day. We at Cap City are the largest Truxedo dealer in the south and have been known to discount these so throw $399.00 in the MAKE OFFER section and see what happens!

Umea Olme Spyder project

Mon, 22 Feb 2010

While Swedish automaker Saab was going through tumultuous times and Geely was in the process of buying Volvo from Ford, first year MA students in Transportation Design at Sweden's Umea Institute of Design were busy creating a one-off roadster for an independent car maker: the Olme Spyder. Created in collaboration with Ove Bengtsson, an engineer with a personal passion for building his own vehicles, the students were asked to design their own interpretation of a progressive and innovative roadster, developing the concept from a sketch into a full-scale model. Based on an Opel Agila donor car, the concept's 650kg steel monocoque chassis was created by Bengtsson himself to accommodate a mid-mounted engine.

Think a sports car makes you more attractive? Think again

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

It’s a favourite stereotype: a man driving a flashy sports car is more attractive to women – or at least, so he might think. Now a survey by Motors.co.uk suggests that exactly the opposite could be true. While the same research reckons 48% of men subscribe to the stereotyped view, in actual fact women are more likely to find a man driving an eco car more alluring.

Porsche 918 Spyder: New specs and new photos

Thu, 16 May 2013

The Porsche 918 Spyder specification have been revealed Porsche has tried to keep weight in check on the 918 Spyder, but having a big, heavy electric hybrid setup on board hasn’t made that easy, and nor has making that setup 4WD. So Porsche has built the monocoque chassis from carbon fibre reinforced polymer to keep weight in check, despite which the 918 Spyder still comes in at a weighty 1640kg, even in ‘Weissach’ trim (more in standard guise). So Poprsche has had to be clever about the way they use the power they have on offer.
