A HIDDEN ANTENNA THAT REALLY WORKS...GUARANTEED!

The Tune Trapper Antenna was designed to be hidden and mounted almost anywhere: headliner, trunk, under dash, rear window tray, overhead console, behind seat, etc.. The TT no ground plane design works well on all vehicles including fiberglass cars, boats, and RV's where a good ground plane doesn't exist. In steel, only a minimum clearance of 3/4" is required - none in fiberglass. Most vertical whip antennas are a 1/4 wave ground plane. The TT is a full 1/2 wave helical dipole, wound with solid copper wire and requires no ground or power. Each Tune Trapper is hand tuned to FM resonance (88-108 MHz) using special instruments and individually tested to insure crystal clear reception across the entire band. The TT also delivers AM, Weather Band, and HD reception. Quality made in our Florida shop. Cable is 95% copper braided to eliminate EMI noise from wipers, fans, engine, blower, etc.. All connections are hand soldered for performance and durability. The unique, flexible and sealed housing is weather-tight, durable, and may be spray painted with non-metallic paint to match the interior. Removeable center mount bracket with heavy duty 3M double side mount tape or lock in place with tie wraps. The TT1E is 24" long, 1/2" dia. with 6 foot of cable terminated with a standard male Motorola connector to plug directly into your radio.

Application Notes:

- A few OEM radios do not use the standard Motorola connector and may require an adapter available at auto parts stores or online. Please check the manual, if necessary.

- AM reception inside a steel bodied car can be a challenge because the AM waves are quite long (1000') and tend to ride the steel skin and not enter freely the way shorter FM (12') waves do. Many of our customers do get good AM but most have to locate the antenna close to a window to do so.

- We offer 3' and 8' cable extensions in our store. They are also available at many auto parts stores.

SsangYong Korando 4×4 gets cheaper with arrival of the Korando SX

Mon, 18 Jun 2012

SssangYong has dropped the entry price for its 4WD C-Segment SUV Korando with the launch of the Korando SX. SsangYong is the Korean car maker that hasn’t yet quite managed to drag itself out of the bin marked ‘Oh, dear’, but the takeover of SsangYong by the deep-pocketed Mahindra and the launch of the seemingly convincing SsangYong Korando Crossover/SUV last year auger well. The Korando is aimed at cars like the Hyundai ix35 and Kia Sportage, and it seems a decent enough offering in a slightly generic way (even if it is penned by Giugiaro), with a 2.0 litre turbo diesel with a decent enough 173bhp and with a choice of auto or manual, FWD or 4WD.

Incredible custom Rolls-Royce Chicane Phantom Coupe

Wed, 30 Oct 2013

When the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe isn't exclusive enough, let Rolls-Royce Bespoke create something unique for you. That's what Rolls-Royce Dubai's brand manager did when he had the idea for the Chicane Phantom Coupe. It's said to be inspired by the famous and historic Goodwood Motor Circuit, which just happens to be adjacent to the home of Rolls-Royce.

Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis Concept: 2013 Detroit Auto Show

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

The Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis Concept has been revealed at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, previewing the next generation of Hyundai’s premium offerings. Hyundai has now revealed the HCD-14 Genesis Concept in Detroit and there’s little doubt that this is the next Hyundai Genesis, albeit with a chunk of concept fripperies thrown in to titillate. Concept fripperies like the rear suicide doors and enormous carbon fibre wheels seem likely to be lost in the production version of the new Genesis (although Hyundai may surprise us) but it seems likely that the overall styling will come through, just as it has on many of Hyundai’s recent concepts (unless Peter Schreyer has a play now he’s in charge of Hyundai design).
