The Tuff Stuff universal winch mounting plate makes mounting our winch to any flat surface mush easier. The universal winch mount uses a heavy duty 3/16" press bent steel plate, and a larger frame to distribute the weight across a larger surface area.

Tuff Stuff has done all of the work for you with this plate, so there is NO fabrication to do once you've received the winch combo kit. Just drill the 6 holes into your trailer, or deck using the pre-drilled holes in the winch mount, and you're on your way. All necessary holes are pre-drilled in the mount for bolting up the winch, 6X mounting holes are pre-drilled to secure the mount the floor, 2X holes for your roller fairlead, along with a laser cut opening for your cable to pass through without damaging anything. The black high gloss powder coating is also a nice addition over spray paint.

The new Mercedes S Class (pictured) boasts a wealth of technology The new Mercedes S Class was launched last month as a styling evolution of the current S Class, but with a wealth of new safety and technology systems lurking under its, still familiar, skin. The S Class may be portrayed as a bit of a ‘Merchant Bankers’ car, but anyone who’s lived with one for any period of time will know there’s really nothing quite like it (well, if you ignore the mistake that was the W220 S Class), and now Mercedes has got its quality Mojo back, the W221 is once again a very special S Class, and the new W222 promises to be even more special. We know that the 2014 S Class will get a range of engines from frugal 4-cylinder to potent V12 – with engines to suit all in between – but whatever engine you choose there will be a raft of technology at your fingertips (some at extra cost depending on the model you buy), so Mercedes has been busy producing a ‘Story’ video highlighting much of the new S-Class’s tech.

Subaru Canada reveals ‘Driving Confidence’ contest winners

Subaru Canada has revealed the top three designs from its ‘Driving Confidence' competition. The Canadian division of the company collaborated with the artist web site deviantART and called for "original creations that celebrate the bold design, superior handling, and meticulous engineering that Subaru vehicles are renowned for." The challenge asked for competitors to push their creativity "to the limit", which many of them did with some impressively-abstract designs. The winner won $2,500 for "Born to Rally in the Snow," the second place received $1,000 for "Unleash the Beast," while third place was awarded $500 for "Subaru Slot Car Set." The runner-up was "Subaru Impreza WRC Rally 'The Pass 2'." All of the submissions are being displayed at Subaru's booth at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto and in the gallery above.

The new Nissan Note has been revealed in Japan, previewing the Nissan Note for Europe which will debut in 2013. The new Nissan Note has been revealed in Japan, and although it gives us a good idea of what Europe can expect from its new Note which will arrive in 2013, there will be differences. It’s expected that the new Nissan Note for Europe will more closely resemble the Nissan Invitation Concept we saw at the Geneva Motor Show in March, but the JDM Note also gets some of the styling cues from the Innovation concept.
