Ariel Ace (2015): the new motorbike from the makers of the Atom

By Jonny Edge First Official Pictures 25 June 2014 10:47 British sports car manufacturer Ariel - best known for manufacturing the big boy’s go-kart, the Atom - has pulled the covers off its first new motorcycle in more than 50 years. The Ariel Ace bike will be priced from around £20,000, and will be manufactured in small numbers alongside the Atom sports car at the Ariel headquarters in Somerset. The Ace will build upon Ariel’s relationship with Honda by featuring its 173bhp 1237cc V4 engine and drive system.

Leonardo DiCaprio launches Formula E racing team

Called Venturi Automobiles, the new motorsport outfit will campaign a single-seater racing car in the first season of the Formula E all-electric championship next year. Toyota has revealed its Corolla Furia Concept at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The carmaker's compact sedan concept - which measures in at 4,620mm long, 1,805mm wide and 1,425mm high sitting on a wheelbase of 2,700mm - previews design cues expected to feature on the next-generation Corolla. Designed around a theme of ‘Iconic Dynamism', it uses simple surfaces to create a more recognizable appearance that will appeal to a younger generation.
