Audi A5 and Audi S5 Cabriolets announced With the Audi A5 Cabriolet and the Audi S5 Cabriolet scheduled for launch in the Spring, Audi has released details of both models today, together with a whole heap of images. The A5 Cabriolet offers up four petrol versions – 1.8TFSI, 2.0TSI (in either 180bhp or 210bhp guise) and a 3.2FSI – and a couple of diesels – the 2.7TDI and the 3.0TDI. The S5 Cabriolet gets the new Supercharged V6 with 333bhp we told you about in November.

If MINI can make their car a Maxi in the Countryman, Fiat can make their 500 bigger by basing it on a different car altogether and calling it the Fiat 500L, and we had the first photo of the 500L last month. Ford Model T climbs Ben Nevis in 1911 (click for full size image) When the good Mr Clarkson decided Top Gear should do a piece about a Land Rover Discovery using its incredible off-road abilities to climb a mountain in Scotland we were all astonished that – despite a couple of hiccups on the way – he managed to get one of Land Rover’s finest up a mountain where cars were never designed to go. What’s even more astonishing is that Ford managed to do the same 100 years go, but they used a standard Model T and choose Britain’s tallest mountain – Ben Nevis – for the stunt. The 20 horsepower Model T was driven up Ben Nevis as a publicity stunt for Ford’s agent in Edinburgh.
