Fiat 500 Cabrio hits the US
Sat, 16 Apr 2011The Fiat 500 Cabrio hits the US for Spring Actually, we’re not completely convinced that the Fiat 500 cabrio (that’s Fiat 500 Convertible for those of us on the old continent who prefer real words) has hit the US. Because although Fiat has told us the 500 Cabrio hits the US ‘Just in time for spring’, it doesn’t say when US customers will start to get cars. Which may be a bit nit-picking, but there doesn’t seem much point saying it’s hitting in time for Spring when Spring’s a third done and there’s still no date.
Campaign Group Calls For Halt To 20mph Roll Out
Fri, 29 Aug 2014CAMPAIGN group Alliance of British Drivers (ABD) is calling for Government to halt the roll out of 20mph zones following further increases in 20mph accidents. The organisation has also questioned the motivation of proponents who continue to advocate a national roll out of 20mph zones, despite an ongoing Government investigation and claims of increased recorded accident statistics in current 20mph zones. In a recent survey of its members: 95% of Alliance of British Drivers' members believe that the roll out of 20mph zones and limits should be halted pending Government research into increased casualty statistics in current zones.
Land Rover hits new sales record as UK car manufacturing rises
Sun, 18 Mar 2012Land Rover sales hit a new record as UK car manufacturing rises Land Rover has had its best ever sales month in February as sales at JLR hit 32,257, and the UK car industry saw a 23.5 per cent rise in production. Last week we reported on the doom and gloom in car manufacturing and sales in Europe with sales of mainstream cars falling away and troubled economies – like Italy and France – recording drops of 20 per cent in sales during February. Fortunately, the same isn’t happening in the UK.
