This Twin Paxton Supercharger kit is for a Ford 289 or 302. The Kit is patterned after the original 427 Super Snake that Shelby made in 1965.This kit comes with:

• 2 SN60 Paxton Superchargers painted Ford blue with "Cobra Supercharged" 

• Complete twin blower bracket assembly with idlers for an early 289-302 without power steering

• 2 Black wrinkle finish carb bonnets with the "Cobra" script for 2 x 4 bbl. carbs or single "Cobra" carb box for the 2 stage set up (pictured).

• 8 rib Crankshaft pulley for 3 bolt early 289-302 

• 8 rib belt

• 8 rib blower pulleys 

• Special pressurized mechanical high volume fuel pump

• Air cleaner(s) and hoses



Specs:

• This system can potentially make 100-150 extra HP on a 289-302 depending on the engine combination.

• The McCulloch and Paxton blowers use 8-10 oz. of  Ford type "FA" automatic transmission oil.

• The Paxton ball drive blowers are a silent type blower with a fiction drive so it will be hard to turn. ( about 20-30 in. lbs. turn torque)

Government abandons plan to make driving test tougher

Proposals to make learning to drive much tougher in a bid to improve road safety amongst young people have been abandoned by the government, Radio 1’s Newsbeat reports. The changes would have involved the introduction of a probationary licence for the first 12 months, a curfew on driving late at night and compulsory lessons on motorway driving. But plans have been scraped because they would restrict young drivers’ lives too much.

We speculated that the 599XX would be in the mould of the FXX series – a track-only development car for uber-rich enthusiasts to drive on track and generate feedback for Ferrari. Lamborghini Murcielago waves good-bye

It was a fitting farewell to one of the most audacious Lamborghinis ever built. A group of the most iconic V12 cars ever to put rubber to asphalt gathered at the factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy, for a special exhibition before escorting the last Murcielago, an LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, out of the Lamborghini Museum in a symbolic last ride. The 350GT was in attendance at the event, as was the futuristic Miura, a Countach and the fire-breathing Diablo, among others.
