By the time the 2015 BMW M3 sedan and M4 coupe were revealed at the Detroit auto show, we already knew a lot about what to expect from the Roundel's newest generation of high-performance driving machines. It was no secret, for example, that the new M3 sedan and its two-door counterpart, the M4, will be down two cylinders and a few hundred pounds from their predecessors. BMW Concept Coupe

BMW unveiled their latest concept in the run up to the contemporary Mille Miglia, a road race for cars that competed during the original event held between 1933 and 1957. The BMW 328 that set the fastest time in 1940, averaging over 100mph, has also provided inspiration for the Coupe Concept, which mixes the older car's silhouette with surfaces closer to the Z4 on which it is based. Powered by BMW's seminal 343PS engine, the car is wrapped with carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP), whose form is defined by designers using plaster rather than clay "for a closer emotional experience".

Dana Point concours to feature Le Mans legends and Shelby hot rods

The 30th-annual Dana Point Concours d'Elegance at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort will highlight “Legends of Le Mans: Racing in the '60s” and celebrate the 50th anniversary of Shelby American. A 1961 Ferrari 250 SWB that won its Le Mans class in 1961 will join the event from the collection of Bruce Meyer.
