Sat, 28 Mar 2009Volkswagen unveils the new Golf GTD at Leipzig [ad#ad-1] Hot on the heels of the announcement of the new VW Golf GTI comes the Golf GTD, unveiled yesterday in Leipzig. Essentially, this is a GTI with a diesel engine – no more, no less. Replacing the 2.0 litre petrol in the GTI is another 2.0 litre, but this time a turbo diesel.

But this isn’t really a concept, it’s the 2011 Honda Civic and it will be on sale in the US by the Spring. Although it’s never particularly sensible to judge a car from a sketch – car companies do like to employ a little artistic license when rendering product yet to be – it seems clear that the 2011 Civic is going to get styling evolved from the Honda CR-Z with a bit of current Civic Type-R aggression thrown in as standard.
Volkswagon Jetta: Faulty sensor prompts VW recall
Thu, 20 Aug 2009A faulty temperature sensor in the dual-clutch transmission is prompting Volkswagen to recall about 13,500 cars in the United States. The recall covers 2009 and some 2010 models of the Jetta, the GTI and the Eos. If the sensor fails, VW said owners will see warning lights on the dashboard and the transmission my shift into neutral.
