Silverstone gets British Grand Prix

Silverstone has won a 17 year deal to host the British Grand Prix Now the farce that was the Donnington bid has been expunged, we’ve been waiting for confirmation that Bernie Ecclestone will take in to account more than just money and confirm that the British Grand Prix will survive. It seemed certain last week that a deal would happen, and the official announcement has come this morning that Silverstone has secured a 17 year deal to host F1. The key to the deal seems to be the length of the agreement.

Our friends at Bring a Trailer are offering a gorgeous unrestored 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Normale. The 65,000-mile California car is claimed to be “one of the most original 101-series Giulietta Sprints in existence today with all-original interior, mostly original paint, perfect gauges, factory engine-compartment components, no accidents, and straight chrome and trim.” Curiously, the engine and transmission were removed and rebuilt in 1975 but were never reinstalled. Ford ECOnetic Vans launched

The Ford Transit ECOnetic brings green option for White Van Man. [ad#ad-1] The whole ‘Green’ thing is now finding its way in to mainstream commercial vehicles (which is a very good place for it to be), and that move is now given huge impetus by Ford, with their announcement today that they are launching ECOnetic versions of both the Transit and the Fiesta Van. We wrote about the Fiesta Van a while ago when Ford announced the Fiesta SportVan, and said then what a great little van it was.
