Mitsubishi i MiEV Electric car launches in Japan
Sun, 07 Jun 2009Mitsubishi i MiEV electric car launched in Japan at around £20,000 Until now, electric cars have been very much an oddity. The laughable G-Whiz and the Tesla Roadster are interesting in their own way, but unless you want to look like Noddy’s best friend (G-Whiz) or are happy to have a second-rate Lotus Elise at three times the price (Tesla), there wasn’t much to appeal to the normal car buyer. Peugeot 207 S16 announced
Tue, 02 Feb 2010Peugeot has revealed the slightly shouty Peugeot 207 S16 The last few days new from Peugeot has been all about the Toyota recall mess and having to drag in a pile of 106s for the sticky throttle fix. Peugeot has announced the Peugeot 207 S16 to celebrate its domination of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge for the last three years, and of Kris Meeke in winning the 2009 IRC drivers’ title.
New Mercedes ML (2012) Revealed
Tue, 07 Jun 2011The Mercedes ML grows up for 2012 The imminent demise of the big SUV has been predicted by the hair-shirt-wearing, green halo brigade for years, but cars like the new 2012 Mercedes ML are like every successful creation – they evolve to survive. So the news that’s come with the first photos of the 2012 ML that we will see the big Mercedes SUV sporting a lowly four-pot is much less of a shock than it would have been a few years ago. But it’s much less of a shock because four-pot turbos have evolved to give us more than a six-pot would have done just a few years before, which makes a 4-pot in a Mercedes ML almost appealing.
