Self-Sharpening happens when the steel of the runner wears down (Exposing the Carbide).
The same as when you sharpen a lead pencil. Since the carbide is harder, it wears less and the steelon carbide sides wear a little more. This is especially so, when you cross roads and gravelly or paved areas. The runners always sharpens itself as you ride. The runners also lasts much longer than standard carbides due to the length of the carbide in the runner ( Save money, less replacements, more security) U-Blade Carbide Runner 7.5'' Yamaha RS Venture/Venture VK/Viking 2006 to 2013 BUY IT NOW: $219.99 Auto-Sharpening Aggressive Runners

A9 cameras already curbing speeders
Wed, 18 Jun 2014NEWLY-INSTALLED cameras on one of Scotland's most notorious roads are already cutting drivers' speed. The average-speed cameras on the A9 have not yet been switched on, but have nonetheless seen the number of motorists breaking the speed the limit on the Perth to Pitlochry stretch drop from one in three to one in 10. Work began to install the devices from Perth to Inverness last month, one of a number of planned measures to improve safety on the main route connecting central Scotland and the Highlands.

VIDEO: Classic-car driver training encourages teens to pilot vintage iron
Fri, 08 Jul 2011Thirty lucky kids learned to drive classic cars at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Mich., on Friday in celebration of Collector Car Appreciation Day. Hagerty said today's teens rarely have access to manuals, since about 90 percent of new cars have automatic transmissions.
