The McLaren F1 LM Prototype (pictured) will be at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed is turning in to a proper treat for McLaren fans. As well as the McLaren P1 making its driving debut at Goodwood this year – and taking on the hillclimb, McLaren is taking a trio of legendary F1 cars to the festival too. On show will be the 1995 Le Mans winning F1 GTR, a car which allowed McLaren to become the first racing team ever to win the Formula 1, Indy 500, Can Am and Le Mans Championships.

Schumacher in coma after ski crash

RACING DRIVER Michael Schumacher is in a coma after a skiing accident in France. The seven-times Formula One champion crashed while skiing off-piste in the resort of Meribel yesterday and was airlifted to hospital. University Hospital of Grenoble spokesman Jean-Marc Grenier said the 44-year-old German had suffered a serious head injury and remains in a critical condition.

Dodge Avenger replacement could go rear-wheel drive

Chrysler is pondering a shakeup for its midsize-sedan lineup. The Dodge Avenger replacement would shift to rear-wheel drive, and the next Chrysler Sebring would be based on a Fiat platform in an effort to differentiate two cars that currently share the same underpinnings, Automotive News reports. The Avenger replacement could be based on a modified Challenger platform, which itself is a modified version of the Charger and Chrysler 300 platform.
