We already knew that the new Jaguar F-Type would get its production debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, but now it’s official. Jaguar has mastered the ‘launch’ of a new car in the digital age, with endless teaser photos and videos, trickles of information, official ‘Spy’ photos and tempting new little revelations at appropriate intervals. Subaru Legacy concept hints to what’s in store for 2010

Don't let the concept tag fool you because the Legacy concept that Subaru introduced at the Detroit Auto Show News is basically what the 2010 Legacy will look like when it goes on sale this summer with the exception of minor tweaks. In celebration of 20 years of Legacy production designers gave it sharper lines, larger fender flares over all four wheels and more distinctive front-end treatment. Sharp headlamps with vertical LED lights sandwich the large grille with the Subaru logo centered.

Jaguar Land Rover leads UK universities to develop virtual simulation tech

Jaguar Land Rover is to lead four UK universities in a £10m ($15.5m) government scheme to develop virtual simulation technologies and processes to help improve and accelerate the car design process. The carmaker will be leading project teams from the universities of Cambridge, Loughborough, Leeds and Warwick in the Program for Simulation Innovation (PSI), developed to improve the potential of the UK virtual simulation industry. It is hoped that through its results design quality and capability can be improved through the simulation of sights, sounds and smells.
