Item Description

UFO Warrior H1 Tribal Helmet
  • The Warrior H1 Helmet by UFO Plastics is a product to be made entirely in Italy. Achieved after long and attentive research resulting in better protection, and can be used in combination with the modern Neck Brace. When planning this helmet particular importance was given to the internal comfort, (fit and ventilation system), to the aggressive and aerodynamic design and to reduced weight. Conceived, realized and optimized for maximum performance with optimum comfort
  • For maximum comfort the exterior shell has been constructed in two different sizes and made with the most advanced constructive technology. Different materials have been layered and woven together (Carbon, Aramidic, Fiberglass and Polyester Resin) and inserted in pre-established positions to guarantee the characteristic profile and maximum performance with minimum weight. The particular shape of the inferior shell was studied so as to reduce angles that could collide with the rider’s body and to permit the use of the modern Neck Brace. The visor is fastened and adjusted by 4 anodized aluminum screws
  • The Warrior H1 Helmet by UFO Plastics has been constructed with a complex ventilation system: the Multi Vent System (M.V.S.).Positioned towards the front are numerous air vents that direct fresh air to the skull, the interior in EPS is canalized for a perfect distribution of the airflow. As heat builds up inside the helmet it is dissipated by 3 vents on the upper part of the helmet which are capable of extraction even with a low flow of air and by two large vents located towards the lower back of the helmet. This guarantees complete air circulation
  • Realized in the finest materials the pads are fastened to the helmet with snaps and can be completely removed. There are three pads: central pad, left side pad, right side pad

GM to buy Tesla? Seems highly unlikely

Wed, 01 Jan 2014

GM to buy Tesla? Seems highly unlikely Tesla is more like a technology company than a car maker, but it’s managed to turn out a very able car in the Model S; perhaps the only car made so far that really is an alternative to an ICE car. That success has lead a US analyst - Yra Harris of Praxis – to declare that GM has Tesla in its sights as an acquisition target in 2014.

College Exhibition: IED Degree Show 2009

Tue, 08 Sep 2009

Graduating students from the three-year post-graduate Transportation Design course at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Turin, Italy presented a tribute to the Aston Martin brand for their graduate theses. Called "Aston Martin 2025", 17 students in the post-graduate course - led by Fulvio Fantolino, IED's Transportation Design Course Coordinator - employed exclusivity, elegance, sporting style and the idea of sharing and emotion as their design keywords, developing a theme which ultimately saw 13 projects created in Alias or in clay. Aston Martin Design Director Marek Reichman provided the students with useful indications for the final development and a further selection led to the short listing of eight projects that were then produced in 1:4 scale models thanks to collaboration with Cecomp.
