UHMW Plastic UTV (REAR ONLY) SKID PLATE FITS YAMAHA RHINO 2006 thru 2013 450 660 700

OEM skid plates simply do not satisfactorily protect the underside of your UTV under normal off road operation. With items as important as your fuel tank and hydraulic lines right above the skid plates an alternative to the OEM skids is imperative for fun and safe off roading. We have the answer with skid plates constructed from UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight) plastic. Significantly lighter than aluminum, FUTV skids and A-Arm guards offer full protection for the under carraige of your UTV.

UHMW is tough, wear resistant plastic that combines an incredibly low coefficient of friction with outstanding impact strength, and will outwear carbon steel 10 to 1. Unlike aluminum, UHMW also has memory, meaning after a big impact hits aluminum will bend ,gouge and break while UHMW maintains it's original shape. These skid plates are very TOUGH! Protect your investment today!

VW Taigun: It’s an Up! SUV

Mon, 22 Oct 2012

Volkswagen has revealed the VW Taigun at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil, a very compact SUV based on the VW Up! The Taigun is 3859mm long and 1728mm wide, making it a chunk smaller than the next VW SUV up (the Tiguan) and smaller even than Nissan’s Juke, but it gets an extra 50mm in the wheelbase compared to the Up so interior room looks decent. Vw say the Taigun is purposely designed to look just like a mini-me Tiguan or Touareg (and sound like one too) with its very similar styling, high ride height, skid plates and roof rails with an interior that offers room for four and enough spce for 280 litre of stuff in the boot (a plentiful 987 litres with the back seats folded).
