Ultra Rare 1950's Nos 46 47 48 Ford Custom Grille Rat Hot Street Rod Coupe Sedan on 2040-parts.com
Brownwood, Texas, US
This auction is for a Ultra Rare aftermarket Grille for a 46-48 Ford. Could be used on '42 if you use a 46-48 hood and upper grille bar. This is a NOS grille. From what I can tell this was the type grille used in the movie GREASE. This grille was introduced in the mid to late 1950's. They were sold through J.C. Whitney and others. I included a couple of photos of a late 50's catalog and the page the grille is advertised on. This book IS NOT included in the auction. I purchased the grille a few years back. My plan was to turn my coupe into a 50's era hot rod. Car not currenty operational. I bolted the grille in my car where it has sat for the past few years in my garage. I've decide to go a different route and have decided to let the grille go to someone who will enjoy it. I included a picture of the grille in my car for reference (car not included in the auction). I searched for years and have only seen 4 of these. One was in a car for sale some years back that was built in the 50's. One was rusted and twisted beyond repair and the other got away. This is the only one I've seen in person. Extremly rare period correct item. Shows real nice with only very minor shelf ware. When installed in my car I used stainless bolts and will include them in the auction. Grille even had the 2 small spacers need for installation also included. Auction is for the (2) grille panels, (2) small spacers, and bolts only. Really rare item so don't let it get away. You will have the only one like it at any show.

Mazda mourns Neil Warrior
Thu, 04 Jun 2009Mazda's Director of Public Relations - Neil Warrior - sadly lost in the Air France tragedy When a plane goes down it understandably makes headlines as the loss is so big in one fell swoop. Paradoxically, the news coverage also illustrates just how safe air travel normally is. After all, more people are lost every day in road accidents than in even the biggest air disaster.
Mercedes S Class Coupe & GLA SUV Spy photos – from Mercedes
Mon, 29 Jul 2013The new Mercedes S-Class Coupe & GLA Compact SUV have been testing in Death Valley With the petrolhead world getting used to seeing spy photos of new cars to come on a daily basis, car makers are getting in on the act with their own photos of suitably camouflaged new models. Mercedes already has a history of releasing spy photos of upcoming models, and we’ve recently had photos from Mercedes of the ‘baby’ SLS – the new Mercedes SLC – as well as previous spy shots of the SLS and SLK before they were launched. Now we have the head of Mercedes-Benz in the US, Steve Cannon, taking to Twitter to show the world what they’re busy hot weather testing in Death Valley.
USED VALUES HOLD STEADY
Thu, 10 Oct 2013THERE was no change in the value of the average used car between October and November 2010, according to new figures from BCA. November values were down £111 year-on-year and remained at £5,792 There was a slight increase in the volume of used vehicles reaching the market in November, but not enough to provoke any change. A seasonal lack of interest on the market is to blame for the lack of fluctuation as well as travel difficulties created by the cold weather, according to BCA, and the drop off in demand is likely to remain into December.
