Porsche 918 Spyder laps the 'Ring in 6:57

The stunning Porsche 918 Spyder was revealed at the Frankfurt motor show on Tuesday. The near million-dollar car has a price that's four and a half times higher than the Porsche 911 Turbo S. It was built to battle the new crop of supercars including the Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1.

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento concept

Lamborghini revealed the hugely anticipated Sesto Elemento concept at the 2010 Paris motor show. Based on the Gallardo supercar, the Sesto Elemento (six elements in the Italian sports car maker's native tongue) is a technological marvel, created entirely in carbon fiber to bring the vehicle's overall weight down to less than 1000kg. Citroen C-Zero (2010) first picture

Citroen has revealed the C-Zero, an electric city car based on Mitsubishi's i-MiEV, and a sibling to Peugeot's iOn. Well, Citroen and Peugeot are both now taken care of - Citroen's PSA partner Peugeot unveiled the iOn earlier this year - but the rebadged i-MiEV is an easy way for Citroen to add a zero-emissions vehicle to its range. The C-Zero is powered by a 47kW (64bhp) motor that also produces 133lb ft and sends the drive to the rear wheels.
