Chrysler 300 gets luxury upgrades

The Chrysler Group rolled out its latest entry for the lucrative "black car" market on Tuesday, revealing new "Luxury Series" editions of its flagship Chrysler 300 sedan that add new interiors to recent powertrain additions. The new versions feature leather-wrapped interior components. The vehicles also have heated steering wheels with special die-cast paddle shifters and wood trim, according to a Chrysler statement.

Chrysler is recalling more than 295,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander SUVs in the United States for an electrical problem that could cause the vehicles to shift into neutral unintentionally. Chrysler has received 26 reports of crashes and two injuries related to the problem. The Jeep Grand Cherokees are from model years 2005-2010 while the Commanders were from years 2006-2010.

Hennessey Performance upgrades the Ford Mustang Boss 302

The tuner guys at Hennessey Performance took the Ford Mustang Boss 302 behind their curtain, plopped a supercharger on top--among other things--and headed to the drag strip. The outcome? Hennessey says 11.9 seconds at 124 mph for the quarter-mile--and that's with a 0-to-60-mph time at a Porsche-like 3.9 seconds.
