Quirky finance deal for anniversary Alfa Giulietta
Thu, 03 Apr 2014CHECK this out for inflation: to celebrate 60 years since the launch of the original Giulietta, Alfa Romeo is offering a finance deposit contribution equivalent to the outright purchase price of the original car. The stunning 1954 Giulietta sold for £1,250, which is precisely what Alfa is offering buyers of the 2014 model if they take out a PCP finance deal and meet a few basic criteria. What’s more, a new £510 Lunar Pearl colour option will be thrown into the bargain for customers taking up the deal in the 60th anniversary celebration window.
BMW X3 facelift (2014) first official pictures
Wed, 05 Feb 2014By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 05 February 2014 23:00 The revised BMW X3 plays spot-the-difference with, on the outside at least, BMW having done a pretty convincing job of turning it into an X5 lookalike. The new X3 goes on sale in June 2014, costing from £31k. The X3 has an all-diesel line-up, teamed with either a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic.
Ford and GM tie-in with Apple
Thu, 10 Aug 2006Having established a relationship with Nike for recycling materials as demonstrated on the Ford Reflex concept, Ford has now joined GM in collaborating with Apple to ensure their cars are iPod compatible. Rather than the retrofitted wire many drivers have had to resort to, cars will offer a bespoke area in the glove compartment that also acts as a charging point, the iPod instead controlled through the car?s GUI. By the end of the year, 70% of all new models sold in America are expected to be iPod compatible, an arrangement that furthers Apple?s continuing domination of the MP3-player market and one that will introduce Apple to the car-computer market, anticipated to be worth $6billion by 2010.
