2014 fuel duty rise cancelled
Thu, 05 Dec 2013Chancellor George Osborne has confirmed in his Autumn Statement that the proposed 2014 fuel duty increase has been cancelled. This means the scheduled 2p increase in tax on every litre of petrol will now no longer happen. We always liked the Peugeot 107 and its ability to look better than its Citroen and Toyota siblings, be nippy and frugal around town and small enough to park almost anywhere. And although the new Peugeot 108 looks more grown-up, it does seem to promise what the 107 delivered but in a more sophisticated package.
Honda Vezel crossover arrives at the Tokyo motor show
Wed, 20 Nov 2013For the record, Vezel rhymes with "bezel," and it's the name of Honda's long suspected Fit-based crossover. Honda showed off the new Vezel hybrid model at the Tokyo motor show, though the production model set to launch in Japan in December will also be available with a straight-gasoline 1.5-liter direct-injected engine also. Other details are still slim, but the company did claim a "Sport Hybrid i-DCD" powertrain will get a stronger engine and most likely a dual-clutch transmission with integrated electric motor.
