Car Dashcam, which is called  Blackbox, is a car surveillance/security system.

It is very popular in South Korea and even works with insurance companies to lower rates, government for their employees as well as parents for the safety of their kids.
It is widely publicized through Korean dramas, tv series, movies, etc.

The way it works: You attach or get installed the camera to the front your vehicle, usually right behind of room mirror or slightly below. You can plug it into your cigarette lighter or have it installed by your mechanic. In case of  Car charger, customer has to purchase it separately, you can buy from us or some other suppliers, you have to make sure that pin type is round shape to fit into device DC jack hole. If you use car charger, the benefit is that you don't have to wire, just simply plug in and ready to go.

Only issue is not able to record event in the parking lot when you turn off engine, because device can't have a power supply from the car.

If you are not familiar with wiring structure (plus, minus, ground), we strongly recommend you to install through your local mechanic, it takes 20 min to 30 min work, and charge
average $50 to $60. The benefits of having it installed by your local mechanic is that it will have smart sensors, meaning even if your car is parked and someone does a hit and run, the footage and sound upon shock collision is immediately recorded and backed up. The same goes for when you're driving, every shock is recorded by the smart sensor. This footage can be used in court as evidence.

Don't leave your vehicle and your family's future unprotected! Have a blackbox witness with your vehicle at all time!

Video: Jaguar's Julian Thomson on the importance of design values

Tue, 30 Oct 2012

Jaguar's Head of Advanced Design, Julian Thomson, appeared at this month's PSFK Conference in London giving a talk on design values. Thomson's talk, ‘Concepting Dreams, Making Reality Happen', dealt with questions of creating a design story as well as how Jaguar uses the value of its heritage while keeping things original and new. Thomson – the man behind the 2010 C-X75 and the recently revealed F-Type – said, "You can't get a good design story if you don't look at your heritage, where you came from, where your values came from." He went on to discuss the ‘sad years of Jaguar', from around 1968 to 2004 where Jaguar was too timid to develop and "essentially made the same-looking car." He put this down to a reluctance on Jaguar's part to move too far away from its successful models and, quite interestingly, because "not only did we start doing market research, we started asking Americans what they wanted." It’s now on its fourth CEO in 12 months, as founder Elon Musk takes over from Ze’ev Drori. In an announcement on the chief exec’s blog, Tesla Motors said it would be ‘cash-flow positive’ within six to nine months – but only by increasing production and cutting operating costs.

Stig test drives motorway pub

Wed, 22 Jan 2014

The BBC has released a video of the Stig test driving Britain’s first motorway pub, presumably as a way of promoting its new series of Top Gear. The video shows the Stig pull up at Beaconsfield services in a Vauxhall Insignia, before entering the Hope and Champion pub and posing for photos, and then ordering a pint of beer. On Bing: see pictures of the Stig England’s first motorway pub set to open However, as the Stig raises the pint to his mouth, he realises it’s not drinkable as he is still wearing his helmet.
