US Speedo's gauge face overlays replace the stock gauge faces on your instrument panel in a half-hour or so. All of the factory information is available, the lighting is unchanged, and indicators light up in the original icons, colors and positions. The part of your car that you look at more than any other is, of course, the instrument panel. So expend some of your bling budget on impressing yourself, not all those boneheads down at the Dairy Queen. Seriously, most custom cars still have the stock instrument panel, even if you've added a few extra gauges. Take a half hour and upgrade your gauge faces to reflect your style, not some brownshoe art director who's designing cars to the least common denominator. US Speedo's Daytona Edition gauges are screen printed on polycarbonate plastic, and will last as long as your OEM gauges, because that's how the factory does it.

US Speedo

Located in Flint Michigan, US Speedo® is the leading manufacturer of OEM quality gauge restyling products. From simply repairing speedometers, they began to supply converted gauges for people who wanted to import metric-gauged cars into the USA, which requires MPH, not KPH speedos. That small market transitioned into nation-wide orders for unique restyled color gauges on most popular vehicles! Soon after, they invented and patented the stainless steel gauge face, which has evolved into even more dramatic designs such as the Aqua Edition and Aqua Mariner. US Speedo also pioneered the popular designer New Key Fob shells, which are sold nation-wide.

Nissan’s EV onslaught continues with Townpod

Thu, 30 Sep 2010

Nissan’s Townpod will be the company’s third electric vehicle (a battery-powered version of the NV200 commercial vehicle will slot in after the Leaf) and is slated for a late 2012 arrival in the UK. Looking remarkably like a character from Pixar’s Cars film, the Townpod takes the lithium-ion battery-powered drivetrain of the Leaf and cloaks it in urban friendly sheetmetal. The long wheelbase and zero overhangs results in a huge cabin, accessed by some trick doors – rear-hinged rear doors and a vertically split rear door.

The Kia Naimo EV gets revealed in Seoul This week sees the start of the Seoul Motor Show. Which may not be at the top of our list of must-see shows, but with Kia and Hyundai taking over the world we do need to at least sit up and take notice. Today is press day at Seoul and Kia has rocked up with a funky electric CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) – the Kia Naimo – powered by a pair of 27kWh lithium-ion polymer batteries in the boot which power an electric motor that’s good for 108bhp and 207lb/ft of torque.

2013 Maserati Quattroporte revealed

Tue, 06 Nov 2012

Maserati has revealed the new flagship Quattroporte saloon ahead of a debut at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show. The new Quattroporte – revealed this morning ahead of a public debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show – is a bigger, lighter and slicker version of the current car, designed to give Maserati a car that competes on more even terms in the luxury car market. Maserati are being very stingy with detail on the new Quattroporte, so we’re going to have to make some educated guesses.
