frequently asked questions

  • What does D.O.T mean?
D.O.T. simply shows when the tire was made. For example, this tire's D.O.T. of 1510 would mean that the tire was made in week 15 of 2010.
  • Can we pick up these items locally?
Sure, no problem! Please give us a call (954-228-3597) at least 24 hours in advance so we can have your item ready for you to pick up!
  • Why are the tires so dark and black?
Each motorcycle tire we sell has been freshly painted with an approved motorcycle tire paint that does not adversely affect the performance of the tire.
  • Do you combine shipping?
Shipping costs are typically separated due to the size and shape of each tire. However, we physically attach multiple tires to each other so they do not get split up in transit. Contact us to provide a multiple-item shipping discount.
  • Why are there so many holes circled?
If we see a small defect in the tire (such as a hole or divot), we will outline it in white and snap a phot.  We do this to ensure you see all minor imperfections on the tire before you purchase.  Please note that any holes or marks noted in pictures will not affect the performance or reliability of the tire.
  • Will I receive the exact item pictured?
Yes! We take pictures of every item we sell at multiple angles. We want to make sure you know exactly what you’re getting before it arrives.

Chrysler is set to invest $500 million in Toledo Jeep assembly plant

Wed, 16 Nov 2011

Chrysler Group plans to invest $500 million in its Toledo North Assembly Plant and hire a second shift of workers over the next year to build a new Fiat-based SUV for Jeep, as well as other vehicles. "This plant has been chosen to build the future Jeep SUV to replace the current Jeep Liberty that will be exported to markets all over the world," CEO Sergio Marchionne said at the plant Wednesday. "Jeep is at the heart of our plans to internationalize Chrysler, a process which is being accelerated by Chrysler's access to Fiat's distribution capabilities in Europe and Latin America." Toledo North is Chrysler's only assembly plant with only one shift of workers.

One Lap of the Web: BMW M4 coupe, 'Fast & Furious 7' and soap box racing

Wed, 17 Jul 2013

We spend a lot of time on the Internet -- pretty much whenever we're not driving, writing about or working on cars. Since there's more out there than we'd ever be able to cover, here's our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about. -- We all know the new BMW M3 coupe – ahem, M4 coupe -- is on the horizon for the German brand, but we can only speculate about the new performance car.

Call for reform over road repair funding

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

FUNDING patterns mean most road maintenance is being carried out in "less-efficient, cold and wet" times, a report from a Government spending watchdog has said. The current pattern of funding, combined with the need to spend money within the financial year, means that most maintenance work goes on between September and March, said the report from the National Audit Office (NAO). It went on: "Although this is less disruptive for road users, it is less efficient than carrying out the work at other times of year because materials can be more difficult to handle in cold and wet conditions, and daylight hours are shorter." The report went on: "As a result of the additional funding for emergency repairs, which is made available at the end of the financial year, almost all highways authorities need extra capacity from the market at the same time, which makes it less likely that they will get value for money." The NAO report said there was a "lack of predictability" over road spending adding that historically, local highway authorities spent more revenue on maintenance, but were now carrying out fewer routine activities such as clearing gullies which are essential to preventing water seeping into roads' sub-structure.
