Listing a nice driver set of front seats out of a 1964 Thunderbird. I know these are cloth and not correct with leather, but that's the way they were re-done. The seating and back cushions are nice and dense, not all broken down. Would be hard to get a good feel for them until they are installed, but I thought they were nice. The cloth could use a dry-clean, but it should clean up nicely . Some sun fade on the upper outer sides and perhaps elsewhere. No visible tears in the fabric. Might be a small tear or scuff around or under the trim shields, but you'll have to look hard for it if any and those would be considered normal for an installed set of seats. Driver's side electric and everything worked when I took these out. Wiring all good and not cobbled or repaired. The tracks are shown in the pictures (along with cobwebs) and not rusted. I do not have the mounting hardware. All the shields and trim in fair shape and the back clam-shells have the typical usage marks from rings and people getting in the back seat, more so on the driver side. There are small dents and dings, but not large, pushed in areas I've seen from knee and foot abuse or climb overs. I believe the passenger side INNER seat back hinge shield is missing (see picture). Other than that, these are complete, including the adjusters, tracks and motor. The adjuster stops aren't even cracked like they are in Galaxies all the time.

I can only get 12 pictures in so if you want something else, contact me. I actually bought these to put in a Galaxie and then a F100. These will fit in anything you want and there are brackets now being made to fit the F100 trucks. I'm not a Thunderbird expert so I won't pretend to know what is correct or if these are the same as the 1965 1966, but understand they would interchange. And with the cloth being incorrect, it's a mute point. I did notice that the driver side Thunderbird emblem is a little off sided. You might be able to see that in the picture. Please view the pictures as they are the best for overall condition description. These are sold as-is and are described as best as I can. I did a basic wipe down, but a better detail and these would really look good. It's been over 16 years since they were in a car. Anyway, these are hard to find anymore in good project condition and I believe these are a very good driver pair, ready for some light cleaning and ready to bolt in. Lots of truck guys looking for something like this.

I looked into shipping these and it's outrageous and impracticable due to awkwardness, size and heavy weight X2, therefore buyer will have to arrange for pelleting/packing/shipping or pick up locally. I will deliver these to Columbia Missouri as they sit, without packing or boxing, to FedEx, UPS Store or a freight shipper of your choice if you can't get them picked up. Please arrange that PRIOR to purchase using 65201 as a origination zip/terminal. Figure 60 pounds per seat (the driver's side weighed just over 58 pounds). Measurements are approximately 36" x 16" x 22" per seat, with back folded down. Thanks for looking!

Honda P-NUT Concept at LA

Thu, 03 Dec 2009

The Honda P-NUT at the LA Motor Show This is another of those ‘Lets see what we can make’ type concepts with probably precious little chance of being made. But the Honda ‘Personal-Neo Urban Transport’ – or Honda P-NUT – does make for an interesting micro city car concept. The P-NUT is a three-seat (which sounds great in principle, but all 3-seat cars – McLaren F1 included – are a pain for the driver to get in and out) concept with masses of angular lines and glass, designed to be offered with one of three powertrains – a petrol, petrol-electric hybrid or pure EV.
