Spy photos: BMW i8 hits Swedish test track

Spy photographers caught the new BMW i8 testing on a secret track wearing the company’s familiar psychedelic camouflage. The test car pictured is a preproduction model rather than a concept BMW i8, similar to what should appear in 2013. As reported earlier, we’re expecting BMW’s 2014 i8 hybrid coupe to get a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder direct-injection gasoline engine--essentially the same unit earmarked to head into the next-generation Mini and the front-wheel-drive BMW 1-series due out in 2014.

Bob Bondurant at 80

Last fall, as we waited for our turn to partake in a braking drill at Bob Bondurant's driving school in Arizona, a black Cadillac CTS-V coupe came screaming out of the facility's parking area and onto the tarmac where we sat. Ford recalls Fusion and Milan sedans for wheel-stud problems

Ford is recalling 128,616 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan sedans for faulty wheel lugs. The recall affects cars from the 2010 and 2011 model years that have steel wheels. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says vibration in the studs can cause them to crack or break, possibly resulting in the wheel falling off.
