Hennessey Cadillac Escalade gets 557 hp

The 2015 Cadillac Escalade is about as American as an SUV can be. We didn't find the 420-hp, 6.2-liter V8 lacking in any way, but if you want something with a little more grunt, Hennessey Performance Engineering and its HPE550 upgrade should help. Hennessey says the HPE550 Escalade package bumps output to 557 hp and 542 lb-ft of torque with the help of a belt-driven supercharger producing 6 psi.

Although the final production car hasn’t yet been revealed, the prices, performance and other tech figures have now been made public. The Ghost, which is being shown at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show for the first time (the first four pictures are of the 200EX concept car, only the fifth, teaser photo is of the real production car), will be powered by a 563bhp 6.6-litre turbocharged V12.

They scored a big PR coup with the remote-controlled MINIs that gathered Javelins and discus in the field events, and they’ve managed to get Rolls Royce front and centre for the closing ceremony last night.
