Honda Accord Hybrid boasts 50 mpg in 2014 model
Tue, 24 Sep 2013Honda is giving us a real treat with its 2014 50-mpg Accord Hybrid, set to go on sale Halloween of this year. This well-equipped Accord Hybrid will be offered with a choice of three different grades with a suggested retail price ranging from $29,945 to $35,695 including destination. The LX, Sport and EX/EX-L sedan models will feature an In-Line 4-Cylinder engine, as well as the LX-S, EX and EX-L coupe models.
Could the McLaren P13 get a Honda engine?
Wed, 22 May 2013The McLaren P13 is due to arrive in 2015 and we’re expecting it to get a de-tuned version of the 3.8 litre V8 already found in the 12C (pictured above) and P1, and be priced to take on the almost empty sector (in terms of price) the Porsche 911 Turbo occupies - somewhere around £125k. It’s a sensible plan to fill a potentially lucrative sector of the supercar market with a mid-engined, rear wheel drive ‘baby’ supercar with performance of around 3.8 seconds to 60mph and stunning handling. It should give the 911 Turbo a run for its money.
Cross-country in a Corvette Stingray: Day One
Tue, 20 Aug 2013Chevrolet brought a small fleet of 2014 Corvette Stingrays to Pebble Beach last week. Somehow, we were able to talk them into letting us drive one from Monterey back to Michigan. By the end of the trip, Autoweek will probably have logged more miles in the Stingray than anyone outside General Motors.
