The eBay compatibility tool is not accurate -- call or message us if you have any questions --515.237.8473

There is a reason some of our competitors do not show a picture of a tread depth gauge in their pictures.  We do not use stock photographs, the tire you see in the picture is the tire we are selling.  Most new tires start with 10/32nds of tread.  The tread depth dial we use is a precision tool typically used in Auto Racing.  there are occasional errors in our listing... if there is a difference between the listing and the pictured tread depth gauge... the gauge is the accurate one.  Please contact us if you find an error so we can correct the listing.

Some tires may be professionally and permanently repaired.

Flatt Tire Center has been selling tires in Metropolitan Des Moines since 1943.  We are tire experts.  If you have a question please contact us via eBay messaging or at 515.237.8473 and we will answer your questions.

All used tires have been inspected twice prior to being listed on eBay.  We also perform a third and final inspection prior to shipping.  On a rare occasion a tire may not pass this final inspection.  If this occurs we will contact you and try to resolve the situation in a manner which is agreeable and convenient to you.

We are human and we do make the very occasional mistake (usually a typo or small error in a description).  If you find an error or are unhappy with a tire please contact us via eBay messaging or at 515.237.8473; we will bend over backwards to correct the situation.  We are extremely easy to deal with and take 100% customer satisfaction very seriously.

BMW 7 Series Facelift includes new 750d xDrive – but not for the UK

Fri, 25 May 2012

BMW 7 Series Facelift The BMW 7 Series has been given a facelift with new technology, cosmetic tweaks and a new range-topping diesel – the 750d xDrive. As you would expect, the facelift for the BMW 7 Series ushers in cosmetic changes, technology upgrades and oily changes too. But perhaps the most interesting oily change is a change we don’t look likely to get in the UK – the addition of the 750d xDrive.

McLaren P1 Track confirmed as McLaren Automotive goes in to profit

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

McLaren are building a track version of the P1 (pictured) for P1 customers only It’s only three years since McLaren Automotive entered the hugely competitive market for high-end supercars (well, it’s four years, but only three since the first 12C went to a customer), but it’s already in profit. McLaren made an operating profit in 2013 of £12.4 million (and a pre-tax of £4.4 million) on sales of £284.4 million and did so – as predicted – by hitting their sales targets – McLaren sold 1359 12Cs and 36 of the McLaren P1 hypercar. And that looks to be just the start.

Ford Focus RS500 (2010) first official pictures

Mon, 29 Mar 2010

This is the new Ford Focus RS500, a special limited edition version of the Blue Oval’s mad Focus RS hot hatch with 15% more power. For a start there’s that extra power. Thanks to a larger air-to-air intercooler, a bigger air filter and a wider diameter exhaust downpipe (plus a new ECU to take advantage of the mechanical changes) peak power is up from 301bhp to 345lb ft at 6000rpm, while torque climbs from 325lb ft to 339lb ft. The result is a 5.6sec 0-62mph time (down three-tenths) while the top speed climbs two notches to 165mph.
