Daimler, Renault-Nissan in talks on fuel cell

German automaker Daimler AG is talking to partners Renault SA and Nissan Motor Co. about working together on fuel cell technology, the German automaker's head of research and development told Reuters in an interview. "Fuel cell technology is also electric so it could make a lot of sense to join forces also in this field," Thomas Weber, board member for r&d at the maker of Mercedes-Benz and Smart cars, said at the Shanghai auto show.

The first proper pictures of the new Audi R8 Spyder We’ve known for some time that the drop-top R8 was coming to Frankfurt. The Spyder has been seen out and about on the set of the film ‘Iron Man II’, and we had a UK Audi dealer using a picture from the set to promote orders for the R8 Spyder back in July. New Rolls Royce marks water speed records

A POWERFUL land vehicle which pays homage to speed on water has been unveiled by Rolls-Royce. The car company showed off its limited-edition Waterspeed Phantom Drophead Coupe on the site of the original Bluebird Motor Company forever associated with the speed record-holding Campbell family. The site is now the Bluebird restaurant on the King's Road in west London, with the Bluebird company having funded Sir Malcolm Campbell's waterspeed record attempts.
