Given the array of new cars at motor shows, it's often difficult to pick one as the overall star of the show. While, in theory, there appears to have been a glut of new concept and production cars to choose from in Frankfurt, in reality there were less than a handful of marked standout designs. Back in March – at the same time we reported the Saab Museum had re-opened – we were also able to report that ANA, the Saab dealers in Trollhatten, have bought up the part-made cars left on the Saab production line and were going to finish them off and put them up for sale. Fortunately for UK Saab lovers, 26 of those cars were RHD Saab 9-3 Convertibles - including the very last limited edition Saab 9-3 Independence – and they have now found their way to the UK and are up for grabs.

The new second-generation Kia Soul crossover will make its European debut at next month’s 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, boasting increased practicality and improved efficiency over its predecessor. Based on the latest Kia Ceed hatchback platform, the new car goes on sale in the UK early in 2014, with prices expected to start around £13,000. The 2014 Kia Soul will be available with the firm’s latest 133hp 1.6-litre petrol and 126hp 1.6-litre turbodiesel engines.
