Aston Martin creates three special-edition DB9s

Aston Martin has designed three special-edition DB9 models named Carbon Black, Quantum Silver and Morning Frost. The Carbon Black and Quantum Silver models are both sport editions with a six-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission and a remapped sports exhaust that provides a more evocative sound, the automaker said. Both cars come equipped with 19-inch, black 10-spoke wheels, a black grille and graphite tailpipes.

Cars recalled in fire risk alert

MORE THAN 400 recently-bought Peugeot and Citroen cars are being recalled in the UK due to a possible fuel leak and fire risk. Affecting models including the Peugeot 208 and 308 and the Citroen C4, the recall is necessary as during manufacture the high-pressure fuel rail pipes were not tightened correctly. This may have resulted in poor sealing of the rail and fuel leaking on to the engine, which could result in an engine bay fire.

Toyota to build RAV4 EV in Ontario

Toyota said on Friday that it will build the electric version of the RAV4 at its assembly plant in Woodstock, Ontario, beginning in 2012. The electric crossover will use powertrains supplied by Tesla from California. The companies began transforming gasoline-powered RAV4 SUVs into functional EV prototypes last July.
