SHIPPING I will gladly combine shipping if you buy more then one of my items. Wining bidder is responsible for all shipping and/or custom charges, you will be charged actual shipping costs. When I ship, I charge exact shipping costs (rounded up to the next dollar), but this does not cover other shipping expenses, i.e. packing, boxes. So a small / modest handling fee will apply to my larger items. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me. If nothing has to be bought, there will be no handling charge. I ship USPS Priority Mail and UPS and will choose the cheaper of the two (unless you request a carrier, or the item is to large for USPS). This way the weight and size of the package is complete and I can give you an exact total. Ellesmere Port Celebrates Five Decades Of Production
Mon, 09 Jun 2014VAUXHALL recently celebrated 50 years of production at its Ellesmere Port facility by recreating the original 1964 press image of the first vehicle coming off the line, in the same production location with today’s Astra alongside. The first new car to be produced at Ellesmere Port was a Vauxhall Viva HA, a model name that would run in a number of variants until 1978, when it was replaced by the Chevette. The Viva cost £527 7s 11d at launch.
VW Design Vision GTI gets 500bhp: Worthersee
Wed, 08 May 2013The Design Vision GTI is built to show what a Golf built for racing would look like – and perhaps point to future evolutions of VW’s most successful car – and is built on the same MQB platform as the regular GTI. It’s a bit shorter (15mm) than a regular Golf, a chunk wider (71mm) and a lot lower (57mm) which conspires to make the Design Vision GTI much more aggressive looking than its mainstream sibling. Power comes from a 3.0 litre V6 with two turbos – good for 500bhp and 413lb/ft of torque – which is driven to all four wheels through a DSG ‘box and can scoot to 62mph in a supercar-like 3.9 seconds on its way to 186mph.

Strangely for a car that invented what we know today as the options and accessories list, you can only choose the colour (white or blue) and whether to have a manual or automatic transmission. Every other options box is ticked, while extra chrome highlights, louvered rear windows and a faux rear filler cap are exclusive to this birthday edition.
