New Chinese saloon scores five stars at Euro NCAP

Bolstering a 95% score in the long-established adult occupant protection and an 87% awarded for child passenger protection is an excellent 77% for pedestrian protection – a high score in what is a developing category. The 95% is, according to Qoros, the highest adult occupant protection score awarded by Euro NCAP in 2013.
Jury selects South Korean team as winners of Michelin Challenge Design 2015

The Volkswagen Viento project by the South Korean team of Youngjai Jun and Gunyoung Yoon was judged to be the best, and awarded first place by a jury of the world's top automotive designers. The French trio of Aurelien Deleuze, Pierre-Hugues Vallin and Robinson Mancaux we given the runners-up spot with their project, Silent Interactive Climber, while Cristian Polanco of Guatemala came third with his work, the Bugatti Liriom.
A14 toll residents 'should be exempt'
Mon, 07 Oct 2013RESIDENTS living near the UK's first proposed toll road in a decade should be exempt from payments, councillors have said. Drivers could be charged between £1 and £1.50 to travel along a new stretch of the A14 in Cambridgeshire, according to a consultation document published by the Highways Agency last month. The proposal comes after Chancellor George Osborne announced in the Autumn Statement that the Government would explore whether "in very limited circumstances" tolling could be used to fund significant new capacity on the country's roads.
