Gemballa MIG-U1: how to ruin your Ferrari Enzo
Wed, 13 Jan 2010Gemballa is infamous for tweaking Porsches – it calls the process of producing 740bhp Cayennes ‘refining’ – but now the German tuner has turned is attention to Ferrari. And Uwe Gemballa and his team have started right at the top: the Gemballa MIG-U1 is actually a Ferrari Enzo. It’s Max Power for millionaires. Button wins in Istanbul
Sun, 07 Jun 2009Jenson Button wins the Turkish Grand Prix in Istanbul for Brawn GP Contrary to recent form, Button failed by a whisker to take pole position in Q3 qualifying yesterday, having to cede that to Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull. But second is still a good place to start, and Jenson signalled his intentions on the start line by sitting in his Brawn at a slight angle, looking for all the world as if he intended driving straight across Vettel from the start. That plan didn”t work, but it was Vettel and Button who pulled away from the pack at the start and, on turn nine, Vettel wilted under pressure, went wide and Button took the lead, to drive flawlessly to the end to claim 10 points and first place.
Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid qualifies for £5,000 taxpayer incentive
Wed, 27 Nov 2013Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid qualifies for £5,000 taxpayer incentive When Porsche revealed the first facelift for the Panamera back in April, they also revealed the Panamera S E-Hybrid, a plug-in hybrid with the power of a V8 and the fuel consumption of a city car. It’s a brilliant demonstration of how car makers have worked their way round the daft CO2 tax regimes designed to strangle the marketplace for powerful, luxury cars by using technology to attain far lower official emissions figures than ever. In the case of the Panamera S E-Hybrid that means a plug-in hybrid with a 94bhp electric motor to boost the power from the 3.0 litre V6 to 410bhp.
