It allows communication while the radio is in a holster or clipped to the user's belt. The speaker/mic can be positioned close to the operator's ear to allow contant monitoring of the radio's receiver. The unit is intrinsically safe for use in hazardous environments.

Thu, 21 Feb 2013Straight from the deepest depths of “why didn't we think of that?” comes this excellent application of American ingenuity and can-do spirit, a 1987 Chrysler Town and Country station wagon with the “motor, transmission, suspension, brakes and everything little in between” from a 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4. It's maroogundy, it's got faux-woodgrain, the brothel-spec interior, and the builder did a pretty decent job of maintaining a stock appearance both inside and out. It even has period-correct pedals and steering wheel.

That plan didn”t work, but it was Vettel and Button who pulled away from the pack at the start and, on turn nine, Vettel wilted under pressure, went wide and Button took the lead, to drive flawlessly to the end to claim 10 points and first place.

Of the 117-mile stretch of London’s orbital motorway, only 3.2 miles between Junctions 2 and 3 in Kent is covered by working cameras.
