This weekend has seen the Goodwood Festival of Speed weave its petrolhead goodness for the assembled throngs on the south coast, so we thought, especially for those that didn’t make it to car heaven, we should give you a taste of what you missed. SEAT Leon Cupra & Ibiza FR Revealed

The SEAT Leon Cupra (pictured above) launches at Barcelona in May, together with the Ibiza FR The Cupra is the top of the hot tree in the SEAT world, and so the new SEAT Leon Cupra will sit ahead of the Leon FR. With 240bhp and a 0-60 of around 6.4 seconds this is a quick car. The Cupra gets a set of 18″ alloy wheels, lower suspension, a different grill and door mirrors and a chromed tailpipe.

Subaru’s WRC Impreza rally car (2008): first pictures

By Nick Gibbs First Official Pictures 21 May 2008 09:37 Subaru has surprised the rally world by announcing it will launch its new WRC Impreza at next week’s Acropolis Rally in Greece, two events earlier than expected. The Prodrive-developed five-door WRC car, which is based on Subaru’s hatchback Impreza, uses the same 2.0-litre turbo engine that powered the old rally car, but does away with the traditional yellow lettering in favour of Subaru’s silver and white corporate logo. Hardcore fans panic not: the blue paintwork and iconic gold wheels stay.
