Kia will launch the next derivative of the Ceed at the Paris motor show: the Proceed three-door model. It follows the Sportswagon estate and regular hatch, and will likely keep the same range of four-cylinder engines and six-speed gearboxes. Jaguar F-type prototype (2013): the testing videos

As Jaguar confirmed its new F-type sports car at the 2012 New York auto show, it issued some teaser video footage of the new £55,000 roadster landing in showrooms in spring 2013. Jag ambassador and former racer Martin Brundle hitches a lift with the company's chief dynamics engineer Mike Cross for a few hot laps in the F-type prototype around its handling circuit at Gaydon. We can safely ignore the hyperbole poring forth ('It's responsive, it's a great car to drive') but it's a good chance to see the all-aluminium F-type in action.

VW Golf MK 7: BlueMotion & 4Motion announced

Volkswagen has revealed additional engine options for the VW Golf MK 7 – 1.2 & 1.4 TSI BlueMotion – and 4Motion 4WD. Unsurprisingly, Volkswagen is going to be offering their eco-star BlueMotion setup in the new Golf with two petrol options available and the option of ACM (Active Cylinder Management). Entry-level for the new Golf BlueMotion will be the 1.2 litre TSI with 105PS with a more powerful version with the 1.4 litre 122PS engine also available.
