Pagani adds roadster to Zonda Cinque supercar lineup

Pagani is rounding out the lineup of the Zonda Cinque with a roadster that's just as light and powerful as its fixed-roof sibling. The roadster's top is stored under the hood, and the carbon-titanium chassis has been redesigned to compensate for the open-air configuration. Thankfully, the motor remains the same: a Mercedes-Benz AMG powerplant that makes 678 hp and 575 lb-ft of torque.

Opel product chief Weber quits to take job with yet-unnamed rival

Frank Weber, the German-born engineer who helped lead development of the Chevrolet Volt and Opel Ampera hybrids, is leaving General Motors' Opel unit to work for an as-yet unnamed competitor. Weber has been Opel's product chief since November 2009. His departure was reported Thursday by Automotive News Europe and confirmed by company sources.

Peugeot 308 RCZ concept

These are the first pictures of the Peugeot 308 RCZ concept car, scheduled to make an appearance at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. Based on the forthcoming 308, the 308 RCZ is a 2+2 coupe - in the same ilk as Audi's TT. Design details of the dramatic concept include pronounced wheel-arches that blend seamlessly with the aggressive front fascia and a stepped beltline. The large offset between the door and rocker panel emphasizes the purposeful, sporting stance.
