Ford Marks 30 Years Of Diesel Power

THE MIGHTY Blue Oval is marking 30 years of diesel power this year. 1984 saw the introduction of Ford’s derv-powered Fiesta and, to illustrate the power of the black pump, the firm now sells almost 119,000 of them. According to the carmaker, today diesel power represents 38.5 per cent of all Ford car sales, making the introduction of its first mainstream diesel car a significant landmark.

Infiniti, Red Bull considering performance cars - Ghosn

Infiniti and Red Bull could go into business together developing go-faster performance cars, Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn has confirmed to CAR. The new August 2011 issue of CAR Magazine has a four-page interview with Ghosn (click here for a free digital preview) and we asked him if we will see a Red Bull-fettled Infiniti sports car. Poll Reveals Dishonesty Of Drivers Causing Damage

A NEW poll, commissioned by ContractHireAndLeasing.com, has found that a worrying 30% say they would consider leaving the scene of an accident after only causing minor damage. If that doesn’t sound bad enough, 4% said they would leave even if extensive damage was caused. The research also showed that honesty among drivers varies extensively between age, location and income groups.
