Frequency: 156-162MHz, Impedance: 50 ohm, Whip material: Fiberglass, Gain 3dB

The SCOUT KM3F is a 3ft (39inch) sleek and discrete marine VHF fiberglass antenna. It includes an elegant marine grade solid stainless steel bracket with a mirror polish. The fiberglass antenna is remarkably only 6mm in thickness. It is dual coated by hand with high quality paint and then with a UV protection glossy finish to stay looking new for many years in the ocean spray outdoor environment. The antenna connection is for a standard PL259/RG58 male connector. The antenna includes a gasket to seal the connection. The reception obtained with this 3dB antenna is outstanding for its size due in part to the included tinned copper robust shielding used in our own manufactured RG58 cable. This protects from electrical interferences. Low quality VHF antennas use the cable to tune the antenna and can not be trimmed, Scout antennas do not. This means you are able to cut the cable to your desired length before attaching the PL259/RG58 male connector. The entire line of SCOUT products are available for sale at the lowest prices at Miamiboatgear.com. Get the most out of your VHF radio with this antenna, your maritime communications and safety depend on it. Scout has been hand making the best marine antennas since 1982 in a second generation family owned facility in Modena, Italy not far from where Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghinis are built. Miami Boat Gear is the US distributor. For the widest selection and lowest prices please visit MIAMIBOATGEAR.COM. Ships out of Miami, FL in 2 days or less so you can expect to receive your products quickly. Installation instructions are included.

Transport dangers

Tue, 22 Oct 2013

FILM FOOTAGE showing the shocking consequences of motorists not slowing down or paying attention when driving through roadworks has been released by the Highways Agency. One bit of film shows a lorry overturning, while another shows a truck ploughing into the back of a car. The footage prompted a Government minister to warn drivers that "saving a few seconds on your journey is simply not worth it".

Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II (2014) first official pictures

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 04 March 2014 10:30 Rolls-Royce doesn’t facelift or revise its models quite like the rest of the world’s car manufacturers. Instead, mere mortal, you’re looking at the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II, and the company claims, quite seriously, that the launch of this revised über-saloon ‘consolidates the Ghost’s position as the most popular car in the €200,000+ class.’ And in case you’re not feeling suitably poor or unaccomplished this morning, Rolls would like to point out this car probably isn’t for you either. Customers who’ll buy the Ghost Series II, says Rolls, are ‘the captains of industry, entrepreneurs and successful businessmen and women who are the wealth and job creators in our economies.’ Unless you’re on first name terms with the PM, you’re probably not overly familiar with the Ghost, but those who party with ‘Dave’ should be able to spot the subtle revisions, including sleeker LED headlights with daytime running lights.

Ford Fiesta sedan for U.S. market gets minor changes

Fri, 10 Apr 2009

Ford is busy courting the youth population as potential buyers for the new Fiesta--it has brought 100 Fiesta five-doors over from Europe and loaned them to people for extended test drives. Meanwhile, engineers are putting the final touches on the Fiesta for the United States. Some of those changes are happening in the front and back, as seen on this prototype of the 2011 Fiesta sedan.
