The SCOUT KM22BS is the ultimate marine boat VHF antenna. Height is 62 inch, (5ft 2 inch), (1.5 m). The included Lift and lay mount is a great design to quickly change the direction of the antenna from up right to backwards effortlessly by pulling the antenna up and laying it back. Unlike any other, Scout uses a unique pressure injected foam technology that inhibits condensation and corrosion to degrade the perfectly tuned antennas core. They are hand painted with automobile quality white paint and then coated again with a glossy UV resistant coat to keep the antenna looking new for many years in the ocean spray outdoor environment. The tip is protected with a navy blue rubber cap. The reception obtained with this 3 dB antenna is outstanding due in part to the included 16.4ft (5m) tinned copper robust shielding used in our own manufactured RG58 cable. Low quality VHF antennas use the cable to tune the antenna and can not be trimmed, Scout antennas do not. This means you are able to cut the cable to your desired length before attaching the PL259/RG58 male connector. Get the most out of your VHF radio with this antenna, your maritime communications and safety depend on it. Scout has been hand making the best marine antennas since 1982 in a second generation family owned facility in Modena, Italy not far from where Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghinis are built. Miami Boat Gear is the US distributor. For the biggest selection of Scout products at the lowest prices please visit MIAMIBOATGEAR.COM. Latest news: what Magna's deal means for GM Europe By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 29 May 2009 19:31 Canadian parts giant Magna this afternoon struck an agreement in principle to buy stricken GM's European arm, Opel and Vauxhall. The agreement has not yet been confirmed publicly and is still in the early phase, but brings to an end an uncomfortable round of talks in the past 48 hours which saw a spat between American negotiators and European politicians, and Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne walking away from the table.Once sealed, the deal must first be approved by the German government, which is to provide interim funding to the new owners. However, Italian car maker Fiat isn't yet totally ruled out of the running, as Magna's chief exec earlier today intimated that he could be interested in cooperation.CAR Online will update with the latest developments as they happen.

MINI-Minor – the new mini MINI

Fri, 16 Jul 2010

The Mini Spiritual Concept from the Rover years I guess you need to be old enough to remember the Morris Mini Minor to make any sense of the headline. When the Mini was launched in 1959 you could have it in two versions – the Morris Mini Minor or the Austin Seven. Which was not at all unusual in the old days of BMC/BL/British Leyland.
